Songs Blog

After spending over twenty years as a veteran of the independent rock scene that often goes unnoticed, I eventually realized that the "reality"-driven audience might be intrigued by the stories behind original songs, after all, every song has a story. Throughout the years, I’ve penned and collaborated on dozens of songs with some truly remarkable artists, and I’m confident they resonate on mathematical, intellectual, and emotional levels. More importantly, I can vividly recall the actual events and individuals who contributed to the creation of these songs, and I believe those stories hold up against any form of "reality" entertainment out there.

I’m starting to document the back stories behind each of these songs, along with the lyrics I’ve preserved over the years, and both old and new recordings. I've released fifteen (well, technically sixteen) of these tracks on Dr. Wippit's Anthology of Sorts, available across all digital music platforms, and these will be the first entries in the blog. Ultimately, I'm envisioning some sort of e-book filled with links to audio and video files. In the meantime, I feel that the current blog-reality landscape offers me the perfect opportunity to share a chapter at a time. Don’t hesitate, click on one! 😉

In the six days between the first two Covid shows, I decided the shows should have themes, I sure can't play the same songs every week right?

For the third episode, I stepped the sound up with a mixer so I have a stage mic and my guitar on separate channels

That's right I opened the show streaming to the wrong page, the Tastes Like Chicken page. So nobody saw it as it happened, but there it is.

The first time I opened with a Pink Floyd reference. I’m starting to kind of feel like there are regulars for these.
